Lancaster Barnstormers and American Music Theatre Join Forces to Bring Three Top Level Performers to Lancaster County
Major concerts are coming back to Clipper Magazine Stadium in 2015 per a unique agreement between the Lancaster Barnstormers and American Music Theatre. Jim Martin, President of American Music Theatre, and Rob Liss, Managing Partner of the Lancaster Barnstormers, have confirmed that three of the leading musical acts in the world will come to downtown Lancaster.
The Barnstormers and AMT are in discussions with three of today’s chart-topping musical artists to perform at Clipper Magazine Stadium in 2015. These hot-ticket concerts are planned for the late spring and summer months. Music lovers across the state should watch for a formal announcement naming these world class acts in the coming weeks.
One of the highest priorities of the new Barnstormers’ Ownership Team of Rob Liss, Steve Zuckerman, Ian Ruzow and Bob Zuckerman was to bring major concerts back to Clipper Magazine Stadium. This partnership with AMT fulfills that pledge that the owners have made to the Lancaster Community. “The Barnstormers have been working to bring concerts back to Clipper Magazine Stadium for years, but we needed a partner,” said Rob Liss of the Barnstormers. “Our business is baseball. We needed to find an expert in the music business. Luckily, we have one of the great music venues in the nation right here in Lancaster at American Music Theatre. Jim Martin, and his tremendous staff, are the experts we have been looking for to make this concert series a reality.”
Jim Martin, President/CEO, of American Music Theatre said, “Guests can expect the same premium talent that you expect from AMT, at the beautiful, outdoor facility of Clipper Magazine Stadium, to create an unparalleled live music experience right in downtown Lancaster.”
“Jim and I fully intend to make the concerts at Clipper Magazine Stadium a yearly event,” Liss added. “You can count on the same incredibly high standards for these concerts that both the Barnstormers and AMT bring to every event that is held at our respective venues.”
Clipper Magazine Stadium was awarded the coveted Atlantic League Ballpark of the Year Award for the second consecutive year in 2014. American Music Theatre was nominated for the prestigious Academy of Country Music Small Venue of the Year Award in 2014.
The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball Clubs, Inc. is the highest level of professional baseball, other than the Major Leagues. Atlantic League players are experienced professionals, having progressed through the development levels (Single-A, Double-A, Triple-A) and are all “Major League Ready,” with approximately 40% of Atlantic League players having Major League service time. Since the League’s inception in 1998, nearly 30 million fans have attended an Atlantic League game in one of the League’s state of the art ballparks.
